Windows 7 Backup Error 0x81000019

A shadow copy could not be created. Please check "VSS" and "SPP" application event logs for more information. The specified object was not found. Error code: 0x81000019

This error is caused by one or more of the partitions which you are trying to make an image of is marked as dirty. Most likely the partition your Windows 7 OS is marked as dirty. This does not mean that the partition has errors. You should also make sure that your Volume Shadow Copy and  COM+ System Application Services are turned on.

Click on Services and Applications > Click on Services and you will see something similar to the middle pane with a list of services alphabetical.

Find
COM+ System Application Service and see if it says automatic in the startup. If not right click it and choose Properties in the pop up menu. You get a Property box like this.

In  the Startup Type: Choose Automatic or Automatic (Delayed Start). Click Apply and then OK. Follow the same proceedure with the Volume Shadow Copy Service as you did with COM+ System Application Service.

You can follow the instructions about Check Disk on this website for all but the partition you operating system is on. You can follow the instructions about Check Disk on this website for all but the partition you operating system is on. Check Disk Command Prompt Intructions

Or you can open Windows Explorer right click the drive/partition you want to Check Disk > Properties > Tool Tab at the top > Error Check box at the top >  Check Now button.
It may ask you to  schedule the  Check Disk during startup in which you will have to reboot your computer. It will definitely do this for the Drive/Partition your operating system is on. Depend on the size of your Drive/Partition the Check Disk can take awhile.

Windows 7 Backup Error 0x81000033

"Windows Backup skipped backing up system image because one of the crtical volumes does not have enough disk space. Free up some disk space by deleting uneccesary files and try again."

The disk space reffered to above is not the size of your targeted backup partion ot drive, but the drive Windows 7 uses as a work space for backing up. This error is caused by Windows 7 backup utillity using your small boot drive as a swap drive to assemble a system image and generate a temp file on that partion. The partion is small about 100 MB. If you are creating a drive image of a large drive, then backup quickly runs out of space.

The only way I know arround this problem is to increase the size of this boot partion. You ca use a number of free partion managers to accomplish this.
